Trip Description/ Itinerary

8:30 am: Departure to Tả Van Village

Tả Van Village, nestled in the Muong Hoa Valley, is located 8km from the center of Sapa and renowned for its unique terraced rice fields alongside the Muong Hoa Stream. Here, you can participate in making herbal incense, design scarves at the traditional house of the Giay people, and experience the Hmong Batik art. You also have the opportunity to explore cultural heritage sites such as the Ancient Rock Field and Cloud Bridge of Sa Pa.

9:00 am: Cooking Class Experience

Here, you’ll have the chance to learn how to cook local dishes alongside the local villagers. You’ll start by cutting bamboo tubes to make bamboo rice, then prepare ingredients such as glutinous rice, cẩm leaves, and gấc fruit. You’ll also participate in the traditional Giay rice cake-making process, experiencing each step and delving deeper into the unique culinary culture of this region.

11:30 am: Lunch

1:30 pm: Experience Making Herbal Incense

Preserved, developed, and passed down from generation to generation. Currently, only a few households in the village know how to make this type of incense. With the emergence of various industrial incense types, aimed at preservation and conservation, the local people, based on inheriting this traditional craft, have created a type of 100% natural and safe herbal incense. In this experience, you’ll personally create these incense cones guided by the Giay women of Ta Van. These incense cones not only have a calming effect but are also used to repel mosquitoes and effectively eliminate odors. After completion, you’ll receive a box of incense cones as a gift.

4:00 pm: Return to your accommodation and end of the itinerary.
